2026 Golf League scoring and league rules — AAA Club Alliance Cup.
The league fee is $25 per person (funds the end-of-season prizes) — please get it to your captain before April 29th.
We play 9 holes on Thursday nights at Rock Manor Golf Club, starting April 29th — 12 rounds of league play plus 2 weeks of playoffs. Your captain will provide the full schedule of dates.
Each week the four captains send out four players per team. The sixteen players are chosen by availability and placed into foursomes — two players from each team match up against two from an opposing team. Your team score is the culmination of your four players' scores, and teams earn 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 points for finishing first through fourth. Most points at the end of the regular season = league champs.
The playoffs begin immediately after: the 1st seed faces the 4th seed, 2nd plays 3rd, and the winners meet in the final match to decide the champs.
Rookie rule: a new player cannot contribute more than ±2 to their team's score in their first two rounds. New players' handicaps are re-evaluated after those rounds.
Handicaps: maintained from your recorded league rounds — the average of your lowest 3 gross scores among your most recent 5 rounds, minus par. Your current handicap and the rounds establishing it are on your player page.
Max stroke per hole: capped by your player rating (established by the captains). Once you reach your max on a hole — pick up and move on. Pace of play matters to everyone; no egos allowed.
When a team can't field its four players for a week:
A team with two ghost players in the same week is not eligible for first- or second-place points that week — if the penalized score still lands them second, they're bumped to third.
The +8 total and the placement cap take effect starting NEXT season — this season's standings were scored with each empty slot at +5.
Each team has a dedicated color, but any appropriate golf attire is fine — no jeans or cut-off jeans. Scorecards must be legible: print names and scores carefully.
Have fun — we are a social league… but a few basics keep the night moving.
